Athena, a Belgian Malinois mix, has a very important role. She is the loving, patient guardian of a little toddler boy and a sweet baby girl. 

Edging up on 13 years young, Athena was adopted nine years ago and according to her pawrents, she was "skin and bones." 

Athena took having little humans in her world with great love and patience. And it is obvious when you are around Athena and her tiny humans that she adores them without measure. Given her size and age, sometimes introducing little humans can take time and caution -- but these new parents hit the jackpot with Athena. 

Athena's pawrents relate that they know she is getting older, and she's slowing down and they're not sure how much long they with have with her -- which is breaking their hearts as "she really is the perfect dog."

They scheduled this simple white session to keep her memory with them always.
