TERMS & CONDITIONS
Thank you for considering a custom dog portrait session with The PAWtographers ("we/us/our/the photographer"). We’re excited to capture beautiful moments with your dog! Before we begin, please take a moment to review our Terms and Conditions. By booking a session with us, you ("you/the client") agree to these terms. Should you have any questions or concerns, we’re here to assist you.
GENERAL
These Terms and Conditions form the foundation of our agreement and supersede any prior agreements. Any modifications must be mutually agreed upon in writing. If any part of this agreement is deemed invalid by a court or authority, the remaining terms will still apply. This agreement is governed by the laws of the United States.
ACCEPTANCE
Your payment of session fees and art credits, or receipt of a promotional gift certificate, constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Once payment is made, it is understood you have read, comprehended, and agreed to all outlined terms.
COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP
The PAWtographers/Joan and Randy Walker retain all copyrights to the photographs we create. Each image is a bespoke piece of art. Please do not reproduce, edit, or copy these images without our express written consent. Purchased images may be shared on social media with proper credit to The PAWtographers.
RIGHTS TO USE IMAGES
By booking with us, you acknowledge that we may feature your dog’s portraits in promotional materials, including our website, social media, books, exhibitions, or publications. If you prefer to opt out, please inform us in writing.
RESERVATIONS & REFUNDS
Your session is secured once payment is made. Session fees and art credits are non-refundable. Rescheduling requires at least 48 hours' notice. Emergency situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Any remaining balances after ordering art will be retained for future sessions or artwork.
WEATHER POLICY
For on-location sessions, we monitor weather conditions to ensure safety and comfort. Sessions may be rescheduled for heavy rain, high winds, or extreme temperatures. If no rescheduling date is feasible, we will refund your session fee and art credit in full.
HEALTH, AGILITY & GROOMING
Please notify us if your dog is unwell or has been exposed to something contagious. Professional grooming should be scheduled about a week before the session to allow the coat to settle. Let us know of any special needs or behaviors that may require accommodations.
SAFETY & OTHER ANIMALS
For safety, dogs must remain leashed unless in a secure, off-leash area. Off-leash dogs must have excellent recall, as any incidents are the client's responsibility. Inform us in advance if your dog is reactive or requires a quieter location.
SOCIAL MEDIA DIGITAL FILES
Complimentary social media-sized digital files are included with your purchased artwork. These files are:
- Size: 3000 pixels on the long edge, 72 ppi
- Use: Personal, non-commercial, with our logo intact.
These files are not sold separately and must not be altered, sold, or distributed.
PRICES & PAYMENTS
Prices are subject to change. Full payment is required before ordering products. Accepted payment methods include Bank Transfer, Credit Card, Check, or Cash.
DELIVERY & SHIPPING
Orders are shipped directly to the client after we have carefully inspected the art to make sure it is perfect. Shipping fees vary depending on the size of the order; however, most fall within a nominal fee of $10–$50, and are billed with the initial invoice.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for your dog’s behavior and safety during the session. Inform us of any allergies, anxieties, or safety concerns beforehand. We reserve the right to decline a session if it poses a safety risk.
SESSION TIMES & DURATION
Arrive promptly for your session. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session or cancellation without refund. Sessions conclude when we feel sufficient quality images have been captured.
SPECIAL IMAGE REQUESTS
Share any specific image ideas in advance. While we aim to accommodate requests, the safety and comfort of your dog remain our top priorities, and some requests may not be possible.
EDITING
We carefully curate and edit images for viewing. Additional edits beyond standard retouching are $75/hour, with a minimum three-hour charge. All editing requests are subject to approval.
ORDER SALES & FULFILLMENT
- Orders are final 24 hours after placement.
- Delivery of products may take up to 12 weeks.
- Due to the bespoke nature of our work, sales are non-refundable after the 24-hour window.
- Art creation may take up to 12 weeks, and we will keep you informed throughout the process.
IMAGE ARCHIVING
Images are archived for six months from the session date. After that, they may be deleted. Back up any digital files and care for your wall art, prints, or albums.
DATA PROTECTION
Your privacy is important to us. We will not share your contact details or session information without your consent. A separate Privacy Policy is available upon request.
LIABILITY
We are not liable for unforeseen events, equipment failure, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, payments will be refunded, or reschedules arranged. Should Joan or Randy Walker be unavailable, we will make every effort to accommodate or refund your session fee.
OUR COMMITMENT
We are dedicated to providing a professional and luxurious experience. If portraits do not meet our high standards, a complimentary reshoot will be offered. If the reshoot also does not meet expectations, we will issue a full refund.
