Dogs have been running my life for as long as I can remember—and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve photographed thousands of them, written a ridiculous number of books and articles about them, and yet, every single time I pick up my camera, I’m still in awe of the magic they bring.

My goal? To create jaw-dropping, heart-melting, can’t-stop-staring portraits that celebrate everything you love about your dog. Whether they’re zooming down the beach, striking a pose in the studio, or making a splash underwater (yes, I do that too!), I turn their personality into artwork that makes you smile every single day.

At home, I’m completely owned by Dulce, a scruffy, hilarious terrier mix we adopted from the Jacksonville Humane Society, and Mariposa, a fancy little show puppy (Havanese) who we aren't showing—but she’ll definitely be winning hearts.

RANDY WALKER

Lighting Guru. Gear Hauler. IT Wizard. Dog Whisperer.

If you’ve had a session with The PAWtographers, you’ve probably seen Randy in action—wrangling lights, fine-tuning backdrops, and making sure every technical detail is just right so your dog looks their absolute best. He’s the guy behind the scenes (and sometimes covered in dog hair) who keeps everything running smoothly, from high-speed computers to perfectly calibrated cameras.

A Navy veteran with a knack for both business and technology, Randy is the reason our sessions are seamless—whether he’s troubleshooting tethering issues mid-shoot or making sure your dog’s fur looks flawless under studio lights. But his real superpower? Helping dogs feel totally at ease. His calm energy and patient handling mean even the wiggliest pups settle in, allowing their personalities to shine.

At home, Randy is proudly owned by Choco Taco, our retired AKC Champion Havanese, who decided that life as a show dog was overrated and being Randy’s sidekick was a way better gig.

So while Joan creates the art, Randy makes sure every detail is flawless—because behind every stunning portrait is a whole lot of expertise, and maybe just a few treats.
