Pacer isn’t your average dog—he’s a 13-year-old shop dog who spends his days spreading joy at Gotham City Limit, a local comic shop. Visit Gotham City Limit here. When we heard his story, we knew his photoshoot had to reflect his superhero spirit. Pacer’s owner, Ben Kingsbury, has created a space where Pacer brings smiles to everyone who visits. For us, this was more than a photoshoot—it was an opportunity to showcase the hero in Pacer that his community already knows and loves.

Supporting a Greater Cause

The Jacksonville Humane Society has been a pillar of hope for animals in need, caring for over 8,000 dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies each year. We’ve always admired their dedication to rescuing and rehoming pets, and donating our photography services to this contest is our way of giving back to a cause that’s close to our hearts. Knowing that Pacer’s 16,300 votes raised $16,300 for JHS fills us with pride and gratitude. It’s a testament to how much this community values pets and the people who help them.

A Superhero’s Spotlight

As Jacksonville’s Cutest Pet, Pacer earned a prize that’s nothing short of heroic. His photo will grace digital billboards across Jacksonville throughout 2025, sharing his joyful spirit with everyone who sees him. He’ll also be featured on the JHS website as their Spokespet, bringing attention to the vital work JHS does. Pacer isn’t just a winner; he’s an ambassador for pets in need.

When Pacer walked into our studio, we knew this was going to be special. We transformed our space into a Gotham-inspired alley, complete with colorful graffiti and glowing lights, to honor his superhero roots. Pacer’s calm and loving demeanor made the session unforgettable. Capturing his unique personality in these photos was a joy—and seeing the final images reminded us why we do what we do.
